André Klip (1965) is Professor of criminal law, criminal procedure and the transnational aspects of criminal law at Maastricht University (the Netherlands). He is a member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences.

He is a judge at the ’s-Hertogenbosch Court of Appeal (criminal division), a member of the Board of Directors of the International Association of Penal Law and a member of the Council of the ELI. Throughout his career, he has been frequently involved in national and international legal practice in cases before the Court of Justice, the European Court of Human Rights, the International Criminal Tribunal of Yugoslavia, the Supreme Court of the Netherlands and in many first and second instance cases.

In 2016, he published the 3rd edition of 'European Criminal Law: An Integrated Approach', Intersentia Cambridge. He is Editor-in-Chief of the 'European Journal of Crime, Criminal Law and Criminal Justice'. He is also a founder and editor of 'Annotated Leading Cases of International Criminal Tribunals' (50 volumes since 1999).
