Christoph Busch is Professor of European Private and Business Law at the University of Osnabrück and Speaker at Osnabrück’s interdisciplinary Research Hub 'Digital Society – Innovation – Regulation.' He studied law in Münster, Paris-Nanterre, Turin and Bielefeld. He is co-founder and editor of the Journal of European Consumer and Market Law (EuCML). He was Secretary of the Acquis Group, which contributed to the elaboration of the Draft Common Frame of Reference (DCFR) and was involved in numerous standardisation projects, eg as a member of the ISO Committee on Online Reputation Services (ISO/TC 290), the CEN Committee on Service Contracts (CEN/TC 447) and, most recently, the DIN Committee on Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies.

In 2016 he has been appointed as Reporter for the ELI Project on Online Intermediary Platforms. His research interests focus on European consumer and contract law, digital services, algorithmic accountability and the standardisation of services.
