Mark Clough QC was appointed Queens Counsel in 1999. He is a former chair of the Solicitors Association of Higher Court Advocates (SAHCA), former chair of the EU Committee of the Law Society of England and Wales and former Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE) representative of the Law Society of Scotland (being a qualified Scottish solicitor, as well as solicitor of England and Wales, solicitor advocate and barrister (non-practicing) member of Gray’s Inn).

 

He has specialised in UK and EU competition law, including State aid and public procurement, as well as international trade law and related regulation, appearing before the European Commission and European Courts in Luxembourg, UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) and courts for 30 years. He is a member of the editorial board of the European Competition Journal and of the International Trade Law and Regulation Journal.

 

He was the Project Leader of the ELI project on Collective Redress and Competition Damages Claims.
