The ELI Italian Hub in collaboration with the Department of Law at the University of Catania, co-organised an international Conference entitled ‘Global Perspectives on Procedural Agreements: Limitations to and Practical Applications of Party Autonomy in Civil Justice.Ä
Inspired by Alessandro Fabbi, the Conference gathered renowned procedural law experts from Italy and around the globe to discuss the increasingly prevalent practice of parties contracting on the rules governing civil proceedings. This practice, motivated by considerations of efficiency, raises significant theoretical and practical questions regarding party autonomy.
