ALI-ELI Principles for a Data Economy Form a Basis for UNCITRAL Discussions

Developed jointly by the American Law Institute (ALI) and the European Law Institute (ELI), these ground-breaking Principles continue to inspire discussions about data transactions and data rights across the globe.

At the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Working Group IV (Electronic Commerce) sixty-fifth session, which took place in New York from 10–14 April 2023, for example, discussions on data transactions (and automated contracting), heavily built on the ALI-ELI Principles.
