On the occasion, ELI’s Secretary General, Dr Vanessa Wilcox, informed the delegation composed of Gao Shuyong (Executive Vice President, Hebei Provincial Higher People’s Court), Chen Qingrui (Standing Member Of The Adjudication Committee, Hebei Provincial Higher People’s Court), Zhang Li (President, Qinhuangdao Intermediate People’s Court), Lin Jing (President, Chengde Intermediate People’s Court), Wang Xiaobing (Vice President, Handan Intermediate People’s Court), Sun Wenjin (President, Beidaihe District People’s Court of Qinhuangdao City) about ELI and showcased its initiatives and expanding influence.

This was followed by a presentation of ELI’s Proposal for a Directive of the European Parliament and the Council on Mutual Admissibility of Evidence and Electronic Evidence in Criminal Proceedings by one of the Project’s Co-Reporters, Prof Dr Lorena Bachmaier Winter.
