Registration for the ELI Annual Conference and Meetings 2019 has opened

We are pleased to inform you that the registration for the ELI Annual Conference and Meetings 2019, which will take place in Vienna (Austria) from 4–6 September 2019, has officially opened.

The Conference, which gathers more and more participants each year, will bring together representatives of European institutions as well as academics and practitioners from different legal vocations. We are delighted to confirm that this year’s keynote speech will be delivered by UNCITRAL Secretary Anna Joubin-Bret. 

 

Participants will discuss the current state of ELI projects and important legal developments in their respective fields. In particular, panels on the following will be held:

  • European Rules of Civil Procedure
  • Principles for a Data Economy
  • Common Constitutional Traditions in Europe
  • Model Rules on Online Intermediary Platforms
  • Protection of Adults in International Situations
  • R&D Tax Incentives
  • Blockchain Technology and Smart Contracts

 

In addition, ELI Hubs and SIGs have put together panels of their own, namely on:

  • Company Law, Prudent Management and Corporate Sustainability (Business and Financial Law SIG)
  • The Remedies in Intellectual Property Law: Do We Need Common European Principles? (Intellectual Property Law SIG)
  • New Technologies and the Law: The Impact on Rules of Torts, Contracts and the Insurance Market (Italian Hub)
  • Algorithmic Regulation and Legal Services (Digital Law SIG)
  • New Challenges of European Family and Succession Law (Family and Succession Law SIG)
