Adopted by both Institutes in 2021, the Principles have already had an impact on legal thinking about data worldwide. On the occasion of their print publication, this webinar will aim at showcasing their impact.

Participants will hear from the ALI and ELI Presidents, who will provide more information on the webinar series. They will also hear from Anna Joubin-Bret, Secretary of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), Dr Bogataj Jančič, Co-Chair of the Data Governance Working Group of the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI), and Dirk Staudenmayer, Head of Unit Digital Transition & Judicial Training of the European Commission, among others, representatives of organisations which have been influenced by the ALI-ELI Principles, and in particular by the concept of data rights in co-generated data, coined and developed by the ALI-ELI project.

Chairs of the ALI-ELI team, Steven O Weise and Lord John Thomas, and the Project's Reporters, Prof Dr Neil Cohen and Prof Dr Christiane Wendehorst, will present some of the most innovative aspects of the Principles, which led to this joint endeavor's impactfulness and to its success.

We hope that you will be able to join the discussion.
