Senior Project Officer

Tomasz Dudek is a Senior Project Officer at the ELI Secretariat. He holds a Master of Laws degree and an MA in International Relations from the University of Warsaw. He has worked for the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA), the Polish Ombudsperson Office and several human rights NGOs, including the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights.

Dudek is responsible for the management of various prospective, on-going, and completed ELI projects, such as Guiding Principles on Seizing Sanctioned Assets; ELI Principles on the Extra-Judicial Administration of Justice in Cross-Border Family and Succession Matters; ELI-Mount Scopus European Standards of Judicial Independence; ELI Charter of Fundamental Constitutional Principles of a European Democracy; ELI-UNIDROIT Model European Rules of Civil Procedure; ELI Instrument on Rescue of Business in Insolvency Law; Enhancing Child Protection; Digitalisation of Civil Justice Systems in Europe; ALI-ELI Principles for a Data Economy: Data Transactions and Data Rights; ELI Principles on Blockchain Technology, Smart Contracts and Consumer Protection; Climate Justice – New Challenges for Law and Judges; or Advance Choices for Future Disablement.

He is also responsible for managing some of ELI’s responses to public consultations, eg on Sustainable Consumption of Goods, or on Digital Fairness. Dudek is also responsible for the ELI’s EU Operating Grant. He can be contacted here.
