Paid Internships – PR and Communications
Five-month paid internship at the ELI Secretariat in Vienna is available from November 2024.
An internship at the ELI Secretariat is the perfect opportunity to gain insight into the management of an international organisation which works towards the improvement of lawmaking across Europe and beyond. Please note that the tasks are heavily administrative.
We are looking for a communications graduate, or similar, in the final stages of studies with:
- Excellent knowledge of English (other languages will be an asset)
- Enthusiasm, reliability and an ability to work independently
- Excellent computer skills (knowledge of specialised programmes such as InDesign will be an asset)
- Experience in project, event management and/or work experience in international organisations are beneficial.
Tasks include:
- Media outreach: assist in building and managing our outreach database by tracking media coverage, identifying relevant articles and mentions related to ELI, and researching potential contacts from various media sources.
- Contributing to the ELI Newsletter: drafting content, compiling information, collaborate with team members to ensure content alignment and proofreading to ensure quality and consistently.
- Social media administration: assist in managing and scheduling content across various social media platforms, monitor social media channels for engagement and overall collaboration with the team to develop and execute social media campaigns.
- Strategise: participate in brainstorming sessions to enhance our PR and communications strategies, seek team feedback for performance improvement, and contribute to PR/Comms initiatives. Stay updated on industry trends, news and best practices in public relations, media relations and social media marketing.
- ELI Hubs and Special Interest Groups (SIGs): assisting the Secretariat in promoting the activities of the ELI’s Hubs and SIGs. More here.
