Irish Hub

Mark Clough QC, Paul Gilligan and Helena Penovski (DGComp European Commission)

The Irish Hub is chaired by Paul Gilligan, Paul Keane and William McKechnie. An event at the Four Courts building in Dublin on 11 June 2012 marked the starting point of the ELI Irish Hub. On that occasion, Paul Gilligan (former President of the European network of Councils for the Judiciary and ex-officio Council member), organised the event, attended by then President of the ELI Sir Francis Jacobs, and other ELI members such as Fabrizio Caffagi and John Sorabji. The ELI presented its structure, its current and future projects as well as its goals and ambitions. The presentations were followed by a lively discussion with the audience which consisted of representatives of academia and the judiciary.

Upon registration with the ELI, individuals become automatically members of the Hub in their country of residence, provided no objections are raised.
