On 4 November 2024 (09:30–17:00 GMT), the Hub explored ‘Multiple Voting Structures, Regulatory Competition, and the Capital Markets Union’ at the University of Turin.

The Italian Hub, in collaboration with the University of Turin, co-organised the above conference at the Aula Jona, Scuola di Management ed Economia, in Turin.

This event brought together leading legal scholars, industry experts and policymakers to discuss key issues surrounding regulatory competition in Europe and the evolving legal frameworks related to capital markets. Topics included Italy's new regulatory measures, comparative insights from other European countries and the EU’s broader approach to fostering a competitive and integrated capital market.

Participants engaged in discussions on how legal frameworks, including the MVS Directive, influence the regulatory landscape across the EU, and the implications for businesses, especially SMEs. The conference featured notable speakers from leading academic institutions and regulatory bodies.
