Family and Succession Law SIG

Family and Succession Law SIG

The ELI Family and Succession Law SIG was established in mid-2015 and is currently chaired by Elena Bargelli, Francisco Javier Jiménez Muñoz and Ilaria Pretelli.

In September 2021 the SIG established a sub-group on Succession Law, which is chaired by Gregor Christandl.

The SIG focuses on, among others: the enforcement of family rights (custody of children); matrimonial property regimes; surrogate motherhood; the presumption of death; transgenerational distribution of assets; and the acceptance of jurisdiction in private international law.
