Boštjan Zalar (Fundamental Rights SIG Co-chair; Senior High Court Judge and Ad hoc Judge, European Court of Human Rights) and María Teresa Gil-Bazo (Fundamental Rights SIG Co-chair; Senior Lecturer and External Expert, EU Asylum Office) led the meeting.

The meeting primarily focused on two key areas. Firstly, it provided an update on the activities of the SIG. Additionally, it highlighted collaborations between ELI and the American Constitution Society, which included a webinar on the death penalty and a book event centered on 'The Constitution in Jeopardy' by Russ Feingold.

Secondly, the meeting involved SIG members sharing their ideas, with a focus on finding ways to integrate these initiatives into the SIG.
