Alexis Anagnostakis

Alexis Anagnostakis is a distinguished criminal defense lawyer based in Athens, admitted to the Hellenic Supreme Court since 2009. He specializes in criminal law, human rights, and international criminal law, with particular expertise in extradition, asylum law, and complex cross-border cases.
Mr. Anagnostakis serves as Human Rights Officer and Chairman of the Human Rights Committee of the European Criminal Bar Association (ECBA), and is a key member of the Greek Delegation to the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE). Admitted to the International Criminal Court's List of Counsel in 2024, he represents individuals in cases involving war crimes, genocide, and crimes against humanity before international tribunals. His contributions include active participation in expert groups on Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation (SLAPP) for the Council of Europe and European Commission and serving as an expert witness in extradition cases before the Westminster Magistrates' Court in London.
