Dragos Manescu

Dragos Manescu is the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Law at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, with extensive expertise spanning banking and financial law, new technologies law, EU law, and public administration.

He brings over 20 years of experience working at the highest levels of public administration and politics, where he has coordinated strategic activities supporting top state decision-makers. For the past 15 years, his work has focused on political and policy-making processes, including strategic analysis and collaboration with key national and international stakeholders such as national parliaments, government institutions, the European Commission, the European Parliament, and Romania’s Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels.

His professional background includes strong expertise in public policy development across multiple sectors, as well as in-depth knowledge of capital markets, macroeconomics, and legal frameworks. In addition to his academic and public sector roles, he has contributed on a project basis to industries including banking, insurance, and the soft drinks sector.
