Francisco Javier Jiménez Muñoz

Francisco Javier Jiménez Muñoz is Associate Professor of Civil Law at the Spanish National University of Distance Learning (UNED).

He is the Secretary of the Institute on Development and Analysis of Family Law in Spain (IDADFE), a Corresponding Academician of the Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation of Spain and a member of several European and international scientific associations and groups, such as the European Law Institute (ELI), where he is a member of the Council, the co-coordinator of the Family Law and Succession Law Special Interest Group (SIG) and a member of the Advisory Committee of the 'Empowering European Families' Project; he is also a member of the Society of European Contract Law (SECOLA), the Common Core of European Family Law and the Ibero-American Law Institute (IDIBE).

He is also the coordinator of the Masters degree in Family Law and Hereditary Systems of the UNED. His scientific work focuses mainly on the areas of obligations and family law. Dr Jiménez Muñoz has produced publications and participated in congresses and scientific meetings on these topics.
