Robert Bray

Robert Bray worked for the European Parliament from 1997 to 2017, first in the Legal Service, subsequently in the secretariats of the Committee for Legal Affairs and the Internal Market and the Committee for the Internal Market and Consumer Protection. His final position was Head of Unit of the secretariat of the Legal Affairs Committee. As a lawyer and a linguist, he also worked in private industry and for the Court of Justice of the European Communities, the European Economic and Social Committee and the Bank for International Settlements. He has a particular interest in legislative drafting, quality of legislation, private international law, comparative law and parliamentary immunity. He is the translator of a number of books and learned articles and writes and lectures on these topics.
