Tatjana Josipović
Tatjana Josipović is a Professor of Civil Law at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Law. Before she joined the University in 1987, she practised at a law firm. She was a member of the working groups that drafted the Inheritance Act, Property Act, Land Registry Act and the Agricultural Land Act. She has written many papers and several books on civil law and European private law and presented papers at numerous national and international conferences.
She was a Vice-Dean of the University of Zagreb School of Law. She is an arbitrator with the Croatian Chamber of Commerce Permanent Arbitration Court and a member of a number of scholarly and professional associations (eg the Academy of Legal Sciences of Croatia; the International Academy of Comparative Law (Associate Member); the Croatian Society for Civil Law Science and Practice; the Society of European Contract Law; the European Law Institute and the Civil Law Forum for South East Europe).
She was head of the task-force preparing Croatia's accession negotiations in the 'Right of Establishment and Freedom to Provide Services' chapter and is a member of the task-force preparing accession negotiations in the 'Free Movement of Capital' chapter. She was awarded research grants from the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg (Germany) on several occasions.
