Teresa Bielska-Sobkowicz

Teresa Bielska-Sobkowicz is a judge with over 40 years of experience, her professional career spanning all judicial career levels, from trainee and judge in training at a small district court through to the office of a Supreme Court Justice in 2012. She adjudicates in cases involving broadly defined civil (contract law, property law, succession (inheritance) law and commercial law. Her adjudication responsibilities frequently involve the necessity to apply foreign law, including that of the Anglo-Saxon system.

 

Bielska-Sobkowicz is particularly interested in cases involving personal property protection, copyrights, inheritance law, cases comprising foreign components (especially concerning European Union law), cases involving consumer rights protection and combating unfair competition, as well as tort law cases.
