2023 ELI Council Elections

05.05.2023

On 6 and 7 September 2023, in the course of the ELI Annual Conference in Vienna, ELI Fellows will elect 28 new Council Members. ELI is pleased to invite interested Individual Fellows to stand for election.

The Council Members will be elected from among ELI Individual Fellows. The Institute’s general principles, which include the paramountcy of diversity in terms of genders, nationality/state of residence, academics, practising lawyers and judges and legal specialization, will be at the forefront of the minds of those running for elections, endorsing candidates and electing them.

Newly elected Council Members will have the opportunity to help make important decisions about the governance and activities of ELI and stand a chance to run for the innominate positions within the Executive Committee.

At its first meeting, the newly composed Council will also elect the Executive  Committee’s three innominate members as well as appoint members of the Membership Committee and Fundraising Committee.

The nomination and endorsement period is open until 18 July 2023. More information about the elections is available here.
