AI and Public Administration Project Team Finalising Model Rules

The ELI Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Public Administration – Developing Impact Assessments and Public Participation for Digital Democracy Project Team met on 13 October 2021 to finalise the project’s draft Model Rules prior to their submission to the project’s Advisory Committee and Members Consultative Committee for evaluation.

The Project Team discussed the draft Model Rules that they are developing, which deal with the impact assessment of algorithmic decision-making systems used by public administration. The discussion centred on questions to be included in the questionnaire for an impact assessment report the Team is drafting as part of the project.

The Team will meet again on 27 October 2021 to discuss the revised draft with the project’s Advisors as well as on 3 November 2021 to discuss it with Members Consultative Committee members.
