At the above meeting, President David F Levi, Director Diane Wood, Deputy Director Eleanor Barret, Professor Samuel Issacharoff, Professor Florencia Marotta-Wurgler, Mr Steven O Weise, Professor Nita Farahany and Law Fellow William Tadros were present on the ALI side and President Pascal Pichonnaz, First Vice-President Birgitte Gammeljord, Second Vice-President Sir Geoffrey Vos, Lord John Thomas, Scientific Director Christiane Wendehorst, Secretary-General Vanessa Wilcox, Professor Karen Young and Project Officer Marta Lages de Almeida were present on the ELI side.

An upcoming joint project on Biometrics headed by Professor Nita Farahany on the ALI side and Professor Karen Young on the ELI side took center stage, with those present providing input on the most recent project proposal.

The proposal is set to be put up for a vote at the ELI and ALI Council meetings in October 2024, which will take place in Dublin and Philadelphia, respectively. An ALI-ELI Kick-Off Webinar on this project is planned for early 2025.
