ELI President, Prof Dr Teresa Rodríguez de las Heras Ballell, participated in the first meeting of the Council of Europe's Drafting Group on the Use of New Technologies by the European Court of Human Rights and New Tendencies in Litigation before the European Court of Human Rights (CDDH-TE) in Strasbourg.
During the meeting, she presented ELI’s work on the use of disruptive and emerging technologies in judicial systems, contributing to the exchange of views. The event also provided an opportunity to discuss areas of mutual interest and explore opportunities for future cooperation in light of the ELI's forthcoming initiatives.
Shortly afterwards, the Steering Committee for Human Rights (CDDH) unanimously approved ELI's request for observer status. This important development will enable the ELI to contribute more closely to the work of the CDDH and its subordinate bodies.
