ELI President, Prof Dr Teresa Rodríguez de las Heras Ballell, and Secretary General, Dr Vanessa Wilcox, met David Milner, Head of the Human Rights Intergovernmental Co-operation Division, and Céline Dewaele, Assistant to the Council of Europe's Drafting Group on the Use of New Technologies by the European Court of Human Rights and New Tendencies in Litigation before the European Court of Human Rights (CDDH-TE).

The meeting served as a preparatory discussion ahead of the first meeting of the CDDH-TE, held in Strasbourg on 11–13 May 2026. It provided an opportunity to present ELI's work and forthcoming initiatives, exchange views on areas of mutual interest, and explore opportunities for future cooperation, including ELI's contribution to the CDDH-TE's work on the use of new technologies in judicial systems.
