The meeting, which took place remotely on Wednesday, 26 January 2022, was an opportunity to introduce the new ELI Presidency to President Lenaerts of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU). It also served as a platform to inform him of ELI’s work and seek his views as to current and future projects that might assist the CJEU and the development of law in Europe.
President Lenaerts was joined on the ELI side by ELI President Prof Dr Pascal Pichonnaz, ELI’s Vice-Presidents, Lord John Thomas and Anne Birgitte Gameljord, as well as ELI’s Secretary General, Dr Vanessa Wilcox.
The CJEU is a long-standing Institutional Member of ELI.
