The two discussed the ELI’s approach and working methods and, among others, a number of ELI publications such as the 2012 Statement on Case Overload at the European Court of Human Rights and its impact. Also high on the agenda was the ELI’s recent publication on Basic European Standards for the Judicial Control or Adjudication on Detention of Asylum Seekers and Irregular Migrants.
President Raimondi and Wendehorst discussed avenues for more enhanced cooperation between the ECHR and the ELI.
