This year’s Conference was themed ‘Self-Regulation or Heteronomy – Lawyers’ Independence in Danger?’ and was hosted by the Federal Minister of Constitution, Reform, Deregulation and Justice and the Mayor of the City of Vienna. The event gathered more than 200 esteemed guests from across Europe.
On the margins of the Conference, ELI President Wendehorst had a meeting with Maria Ślązak, President of the Assocociation Europeenne des Avocats-European Association of Lawyers (AEA-EAL), who emphasised her wish to strengthen the cooperation between the ELI and AEA-EAL.
