The meeting is part of a series of meetings between ELI and similar organisations in Asia and Africa. It served as an occasion for President Pichonnaz to inform Prof Mo about ELI, its aims, structure and work. Several possible avenues for cooperation were discussed, with both parties agreeing to consider these further following internal discussions.
