ELI President Speaks at ELFA 2026 Conference

The event was held in Bilbao, Spain, from 15–17 April 2026.

ELI President Prof Dr Teresa Rodríguez de las Heras Ballell, participated as a keynote expert at the 31st Annual General Meeting and Conference of the European Law Faculties Association, held at the University of Deusto in Bilbao, Spain.

The conference, themed ‘Artificial Intelligence and Legal Education: Exploring the Impact of AI on Legal Training and the Profession,’ brought together representatives from more than 150 institutions to examine how artificial intelligence is reshaping legal education and the future of the legal profession. The ELI President contributed to discussions on the opportunities and challenges that AI presents for legal training, research, and professional practice.

The programme featured a series of expert panels and discussions focused on the evolving relationship between technology and legal education, as well as the need for dialogue among academics, practitioners, and policymakers from across Europe and beyond.
