Pichonnaz used this as an opportunity to introduce ELI and its current activities to the attendees. He also thanked Prof Philippe for his contributions to ELI over the years and referred to the recognition of his work by the ELI Council that named a motion (on the approval of draft outputs subject to editorial prerogatives) after him: the ‘Philippe Motion’.
