ELI Principles on Litigation Funding at Centre of NYU Seminar

On 21 November 2024, NYU School of Law hosted a seminar spotlighting ELI Principles on Third-Party Litigation Funding

The event was held jointly with ELI and NYU School of Law, the Center for Transnational Litigation, Arbitration, and Commercial Law and the Center on Civil Justice.

Susanne Augenhofer, Co-Reporter of the ELI project presented an overview of ELI’s Principles, followed by insights from Professor Anthony Sebok, Co-Director of Cardozo School of Law, Susie Kim, Director of Underwriting at Parabellum Capital, and others, who shared diverse perspectives. Moderated by Professor Christopher A Whytock, the seminar concluded with remarks by Sir Geoffrey Vos, ELI’s Second Vice-President and Master of the Rolls and the Head of Civil Justice in England and Wales.

This enriching dialogue attracted academics and practitioners, emphasising the evolution of Third-Party Litigation Funding across borders.
