Bringing together litigation funders, law firms, insurers, investors, and academics, the conference focused on current trends, legal frameworks, and ethical questions surrounding third-party litigation funding in Europe.

Professor Augenhofer participated in a keynote interview and panel session on the final day of the event. In her remarks, she reflected on the evolving regulatory landscape and presented ELI’s Principles on Third Party Funding of Litigation, underlining their role in promoting transparency, accountability, and access to justice across jurisdictions.

The three-day conference featured numerous expert discussions, including sessions on regulatory pressures, ethics in litigation finance, and deal structuring. Among other things, Professor Augenhofer’s highlighted the importance of principled guidance in shaping the responsible development of third-party funding practices in Europe.
