Univ-Prof Dr Bea Verschraegen, LLM, MEM will be taking on the role of Interim Secretary-General on a part-time basis, beginning 2 June 2020 while our current Secretary General, Dr Vanessa Wilcox, LLM (Cantab) departs on maternity leave. Dr Wilcox’s last day in the office will be 9 June 2020, thus allowing for a brief transition period.

Bea Verschraegen, whose full CV can be found here, was Professor of Comparative and Private International Law at the University of Vienna (1998–2018) and among many other accomplishments is Présidente honoraire of the Commission Internationale de l’État Civil (CIEC).

We wish Prof Verschraegen, who can be contacted via the Secretary General account, the very best as she settles into office and thank you all for your patience during this period. We would also like to thank Dr Wilcox for all she has done for ELI since she began in mid-2017.
