In her presentation, Skrjabina focused on the project’s background, objectives and expected results. She emphasised that digitalisation of courts is associated with complexity and risks and that therefore the objective of the project is to develop overarching principles to effectively support the process in the context of reinforcing procedural safeguards and consolidating the existing knowledge and research in this field.
The Annual Conference of Riga Regional Court (appeal instance) took place in Riga was devoted to fundamental rights and justice in the context of digitalisation. It marked the Court’s 105th anniversary.
