She had been invited both in her capacity as ELI leader of the 'Principles for a Data Economy' project, a transnational project conducted jointly by the American Law Institute (ALI) and ELI, and in her capacity as co-chair of the Data Ethics Commission, which is an advisory body to the German government due to submit its report in October. Wendehorst focused, in her presentation, on the notion of data ethics, on data governance principles, on the theory of 'co-generated data' and the related model of data rights developed within the ALI-ELI project, which have greatly inspired the work of the Data Ethics Commission.
