President Wendehorst gave an overview of the activities of the ELI and presented various ELI Projects to MEP Lamassoure. The two discussed tax law in general and in particular, the ELI Project on ‘For a European Approach to R&D Expenses Qualifying for the Common Corporate Tax Base Super Deduction’. Among other things, MEP Lamassoure is a Substitute of the TAX3 Special Committee on Financial Crimes, Tax Evasion and Tax Avoidance of the European Parliament.
Discussions on asylum law, which is related to a recently completed ELI Project on the Detention of Asylum Seekers and Irregular Migrants and the Rule of Law, were also held as well as on bioethics.
