ELI President Christiane Wendehorst thanked Professor Doralt for his service as Chair of the Membership Committee (from 2011–2019) at the evening reception (on 4 September 2019) of the ELI Annual Conference and Meetings in Vienna. She emphasised in her speech how immensely important Walter Doralt was and is for the development of the ELI. He has been a major pillar of the organisation from the very first day, not only as Chair of the Membership Committee, but also as a referee for an extremely high number of ELI members and the Committee’s contact person for the ELI Secretariat. 

The ELI would like to sincerely thank Professor Doralt for his service and steady support throughout all the years and looks forward to working with Professor Doralt in other capacities.
