On ELI’s side, ELI President-Elect, Prof Dr Teresa Rodríguez de las Heras Ballell, First ELI Vice-President Elect, Sir Geoffrey Vos (Master of the Rolls and Head of Civil Justice in England and Wales) and ELI’s Secretary General, Dr Vanessa Wilcox.
Their discussions covered potential opportunities for further collaboration, including on the recently adopted ELI Project on Case-Overload at the European Court of Human Rights: An Update, which seeks to update an earlier Statement on Case-Overload at the Strasbourg Court with a view to providing concrete recommendations to help the Court raise the level of its case-processing efficiency, ensure timely adjudication and, thereby, enhance its ability to uphold human rights effectively. President Bosnjak has recently joined ELI as an individual Member.
