ELI was pleased to be represented by its President, Prof Dr Teresa Rodríguez de las Heras Ballell, at the General Congress 2026 of the International Academy of Comparative Law (AIDC/IACL), hosted by Humboldt University of Berlin.

The Congress brought together comparative-law scholars and legal professionals from around the world to discuss subjects including legal education, contracts, digitalisation, climate protection, constitutional institutions and private international law.

Such international exchanges are central to ELI’s commitment to comparative legal scholarship, better lawmaking and legal development across Europe and beyond.
