The event, which was also streamed online, served as a platform to present the comparative findings of the country reports commissioned within the project. It provided an opportunity to discuss the first draft of the project’s policy recommendations with participants. Attendees included a number of stakeholders, representatives from several national associations, chambers of notaries, lawyers as well as practitioners and academics.
The first session was dedicated to presenting the comparative report as well as selected country reports from Estonia, Denmark, Portugal, Romania and Sweden. This was followed by presentations of four policy recommendations accompanied by comments by an invited speaker, chosen from academia or practice. Participants were then given the chance to make statements and observations on the presentations and suggest changes and improvements. The lively discussion that followed provided the project team with new insights and inputus for the improvement of the recommendations.
