ELI’s Scientific Director, Prof Dr Christiane Wenderhorst, and chair of ELI’s High Level Expert Group on Biometric Techniques, Prof Dr Didier Meuwly of the University of Twente, gave an interview to the Centre for Strategy & Evaluation Services which is gathering preliminary evidence on the use of RBI systems by law enforcement agencies across the EU, and analysing the rationale, objectives, scope and approach of such systems for FRA’s upcoming RBI project.
