The third Hispano-Luso meeting will take place, as part of the Semana de la Ciencia y la Innovación de Madrid 2024, focusing on ‘Digital Europe: Digital Rights and Artificial Intelligence (AI)’.
The event will be hosted across two prestigious venues, the Faculdade de Direito da Universidade do Porto (UP) on 11 November and the Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) on 12 November. Scholars and experts from Portugal and Spain will gather to discuss legal challenges posed by AI and digital rights.
Key topics will include transparency and ethics in AI, civil liability for AI-related harm, deepfakes, digital parenting and the intersection of AI with labor and market practices. The sessions will feature in-depth discussions led by legal academics from both countries, promoting interdisciplinary insights and cooperation.
