Project Selection and Lifecycle
The selection, management and approval of ELI projects are regulated by ELI‘s Project Guidelines.
The ELI Executive Committee, supported by ELI‘s Scientific Director and Secretariat, is responsible for identifying ELI projects and for submitting them as project proposals to the Council.
The Executive consults experts in the field and relevant stakeholders throughout this process. It frequently convenes High Level Expert Groups to support it in this endeavour.
On the completion of a project, extensive efforts are made to ensure output is appropriately disseminated, including though High Level Fora in which representatives from the EU, European Ministries of Justice, Supreme Courts and other stakeholders are convened for the purpose of learning more about the output and engaging in discourse about its implementation.
