Dr Vanessa Wilcox, LLM (Cantab), is the Secretary-General of the European Law Institute (ELI). She holds a Master’s in Commercial Law (LLM) from the University of Cambridge (2006) and a Doctoral Degree from the University of Vienna (2014), for which she received the Dr Maria Schaumayer-Stiftung Prize (2015) and the Association of Austrian Bankers Prize (2016). Dr Wilcox has been a Fellow of the European Centre of Tort and Insurance Law (ECTIL) since 2009 and an Honorary Professor at Yantai University Law School (China) since 2015. She also completed Executive non-profit management training at Harvard University, where she was awarded a scholarship. Dr Wilcox lectures at the University of Vienna and has taught at several universities in Austria and abroad. As Secretary-General, she is responsible for strengthening ELI’s network, establishing relationships with other institutions, and promoting the Institute’s work. Additionally, she coordinates the Secretariat’s activities and maintains close contact with ELI’s governing bodies. Dr Wilcox can be reached here.
