On 27 February 2024 (at 17:00 TR), ELI’s Turkish Hub hosted a webinar on the ELI Guidance on Company Capital and Financial Accounting for Corporate Sustainability in a series of webinars organised to introduce ELI projects to Turkish lawyers and discuss their potential influence on Turkish Law.

The webinar, convened by 35 people, began with a welcoming speech by Dr. Bora Kaya (ELI Turkish Hub Co-Chair; Ankara Bar Association, Ankara), and followed by an in-dept presentation of the ELI Report by Mrs İclal Nihal Baraç Evci (Research Assistant at Piri Reis University, Istanbul) who also translated the ELI Report into Turkish. This was followed by deeper insights into the topic's alignment with Turkish law by Dr Cem Veziroglu (Koç University, Istanbul), Mrs. Ipek Okucu Taftalı (Senior Manager, GSG Attorneys at Law, Istanbul) and Mrs. Nevin Imamoglu İpek (Finance Coordinator, Koç Holding, Istanbul).
