The inaugural session of the transatlantic dialogues series took place via Zoom. This session delved into the California Delete Act, which empowers consumers to manage their online data by instructing data brokers to erase personal information.
Speakers included Oreste Pollicino (Bocconi University) and ELI Scientific Director, Christiane Wendehorst, who focused on the GDPR's ‘right to be forgotten’. Emory Roane, the principal author of the California Delete Act, represented Privacy Rights Clearinghouse.
