Laurence Gormley

Laurence Gormley is a Professor at the College of Europe, Bruges, a Bencher of Middle Temple, and Emeritus Professor of European Law, University of Groningen. He is Joint General Editor of the Oxford Encyclopedia of EU Law and Joint Series Editor of Cambridge Studies in European Law and Policy. 

He has been a Visiting Professor at, inter alia, University College, London; Bremen; Bonn; Bucerius, and Leuven, and a Visiting Fellow of Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, and the Centre of European Legal Studies at Cambridge. In 2015—2016 he was President of the European Law Faculties Association (ELFA). Laurence is a former Official of the European Commission in Brussels. He was the first chairman of the Dutch Association for Procurement Law (of which he is now an Honorary Member (Erelid)).  He is a member of the European Association of Tax Law Professors and an Emeritus Member of the Society of Legal Scholars.
