Lyon Catholic University was founded in 1875. It welcomes a diverse range of students from every nationality with a variety of philosophical and religious beliefs, and respects freedom of conscience and secularism. Its Law School is highly internationalised in teaching and in research, demonstrated notably by its numerous agreements with partners around the world, classes taught in English, international programs for law students and professionals and guest lecturers from abroad. The Law School focuses its research activities on two main areas: first on European, International and Comparative Law, especially from a trade law perspective, in connection with its LL.M. programs in Business and Trade Law; second on the notion of “person” (both natural and legal persons) from a legal perspective.
