ELI Members Speak at the International Forum on Succession

Reporter of the ELI Project on the Concept and the Role of Courts in Family and Succession Matters and Co-Chair of the ELI Special Interest Group (SIG) on Family and Succession Law, Elena Bargelli (Professor; University of Pisa), participated at the International Forum on Succession from 5–7 May 2022. She was joined by Chair of the SIG’s Sub-Group on Succession Law, Gregor Christandl (Professor; University of Graz).

Bargelli moderated the session on Switzerland, while Christandl moderated that on Brazil.An agenda is available here.

The Forum is organised by the Commission for International Relations of the Order of Milan (CRINT). The aim of the Forum was to allow participants to discover how succession proceedings are conducted in countries with different legal systems, and thus to appreciate the salient differences between civil and common law systems and the peculiarities of each legal system.
